It was obvious that tile was the starting point when we were tasked with updating this 1970’s California ranch-style abode. The Oakland home has three dramatic tile moments, starting at the front door. Given that it’s a small, narrow area, we didn’t have much floor space, so we went to the vertical plane and decided on a tile from Heath Ceramics, transforming the old blah entry into an exciting greeting.
We also refreshed the powder room with oversize hex tile, bringing drama to the small room. In the kid’s bath, we took inspiration from the beach by adding the the vibrant Fireclay tile. We are proud that this tile extravaganza keeps getting media attention.
