We are a little sad to see Summer go. So we rounded up a few ideas to keep the summer vibe going for you all year long...
add some light
Bringing in a whimsical light fixture, like this one from @giopatocoombes, will make you smile and add friendly light for the darker days ahead.
A light-hearted collection of items that remind you of summer will make you smile all year long.

plan a trip
The couple @ourtravelpassport are traveling the world together and their images alone are a vacation for the eyes. Plan a getaway.
put in a fantastic floor
Okay, this one does take a little bit of work but will be worth the sunshine payback. If you take up a floor and install radiant heat, you can stay barefoot all winter. And if you pick a yummy tile like these cement tiles from @cletile, you add in the feeling of being somewhere close to the equator.
eat a bowl of fruit
And serve it in a vintage white bowl. Fresh and light will keep things fresh and light.
natural colors and surfaces
I am currently having a small tile obsession so this picture serves my love of combining patterns and textures really well. Greens and wood finishes will bring the outdoors in for when it is too cold to be outside. And fresh white towels will add to the calm.

bring home a surfer
Put up some items on your wall that scream summer--hang a vintage surfboard, frame those photos from your last beach vacation, or hang some baskets.

add some unexpected trim
This sisal with a decorative trim in the border by @meridastudiois unexpected and brings a light-heartedness to the decor. Add ing a contrast welt somewhere keeps things light.
invest in linen sheets
You may not know this, but linen sheets will keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. They are actually magic. And contribute to a summer vibe.

pop of color
Add a few pops of your favorite color with a picture on the wall, a new bright pillow on a chair, some colored barstools at the counter, a striped rug in the kitchen, an unexpected tile floor. These will help keep things sunny all year long.

reflect the light
A warm welcome --here, with a shiny floor, a mirror on the window, glass window panes, and a shiny star above --keeps things light and airy and summer-y.
